DONALD AND HILLARY: AMERICA POOR CHOICES
It’s a sad day for America when two unfavorable candidates are the choices to be the next leader of the free world. Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are the unfavorable candidates that citizens will have to choose from in November, and they are unfavorable because Donald can’t make America great again and Hillary is just a fake. Neither Donald nor Hillary are candidates that reflect the will of the people, or what the people want (well except for loonies that support Donald Trump). Donald nor Hillary resonate with the people, these candidates are mere props shoved down the peoples throat, similar to what takes place in other countries with elections and unfavorable candidates.
Neither Donald nor Hillary are candidates that reflect the will of the people, or what the people want (well except for loonies that support Donald Trump).
First, Hillary has a lot of baggage from her eight years of First lady, a Senator and being Secretary of State. In her 1996 Keene State college speech on the crime bill passed by congress, Hillary explicitly stated: “we must bring them to heel”. Many people know this is a coded racist statement for black people, and it is ironic that Hillary has been actively pandering for the black vote, in addition to the Hispanic vote. Additionally, throughout this election cycle, Hillary has not been relatable, from the debates to her campaign, there is nothing that relates to us everyday people and what we deal with. Hillary only plan is to ride the coat-tails of President Obama, which is not being the champion for everyday people.
When it comes to Donald Trump, it is like Ezra Klein stated in a web video, “Donald Trump is dangerous”.
When it comes to Donald Trump, it is like Ezra Klein stated in a web video, “Donald Trump is dangerous”. Throughout this election cycle, we have heard the many vile things that Donald Trump has said, specifically about Hispanics and Muslims. The rhetoric that Donald is using is not one that represents America nor is reflective of what we believe in as a people. It is sad Donald Trump is a choice voters have to pick from in November, and it is sad that he made it this far. The poor choices of Donald and Hillary illustrate that we have more work to do on our own election process to make America a democracy that we claim it to be.
