Recapping:
Recap: a year ago I wrote a blog on why elected officials should not serve 30-40 years in Congress discussing why our nation is going down a slippery path and how policies shaped by Sen Mitch McConnell has set our country backward. America is 40 years behind our allies who have universal health care, a livable wage, free education and paid parental leave. Such policies are why nations such as Norway, Finland, Denmark, Uruguay are surpassing America in policies beneficial to the people who is beneficial to our country in the long run. Why America does not have these policies is because of Mitch McConnell who has thwarted legislation to propel America to better off and beneficial to the people. Sidebar: aside from Donald Trump being the most hated person in America, Mitch McConnell is the second most hated guy.

For 30 years, specifically the past 11 years, Sen McConnell has helped ruin relationships with allies, increase our deficit by $22 trillion, obstruct President Obama 8 years of policies and passed a dismal tax policy resulting in lower returns for Americans.
Voting Matters:
Every election, we hear voting matters, every midterm election participation is meager a reason Mitch McConnell was successful at winning elections and remaining in office for 30 years. Sidebar: Senate elections are every six years which trumps the term limit arguments and means which we choose to the Senate, there is a chance to follow the policies of our Senators for a lengthy period. Mitch McConnell is a clear example of why voting matters because he has permanently wrecked our nation. Recap: since Obama 8 years in office, the goal of McConnell was to be obstructionist and he has succeeded costing the American people.
Reversing every policy by President Obama which benefitted the people and repairing our relationships with allies, Mitch McConnell is the culprit of America headed in the wrong direction.
βRecap: since Obama 8 years in office, the goal of McConnell was to be obstructionist and he has succeeded costing the American people.β
Mitch McConnell knew Donald Trump was not going to sign any deal to reopen the government costing 800k federal workers do not receive their paycheck to give for the necessities of life. Additionally, during the 35-day government shutdown, McConnell objected to having the bill to reopen the government comes to the floor for a vote yet he voted on an abortion bill which failed. Additionally, Mitch McConnell is responsible for placing two illegitimate justices on the bench-Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh. The Senator is responsible for taken away health care for millions of people, the stagnant wages citizens cannot give the necessities, unwise policy decisions such as the withdrawing from the Paris Accord and the Iran Nuclear deal.
The list goes on and on, however, Mitch McConnell decades in the Senate has resulted in future generations undoing the terrible policy decisions which have not benefited the people and is a clear case why being engaged in the political process not to have elected officials similar to McConnell in our government creating laws on behalf of the people-VOTING MATTERS.
McConnell Gotta Go 2020:
Mitch McConnell has been in the Senate since 1984-way too long, and this is the decade the most diverse, populated and new voting bloc Millennials were born. Since 1984 until 2019, McConnell has done nothing for this nation nor the people or his state of Kentucky. Sidebar: McConnell is a clear example of who should not be in our government, he embodies a person who has long over-stayed their welcome, and now they must go. Furthermore, being in office since 1984, America should not be fighting the same old arguments from earlier generations using the same rhetoric with no policy put in place to end these old fights once and for all.

Since we are off to the races for the 2020 elections with 22 Senate seats up for grabs one being Mitch McConnell, we have to focus equally on both Senate and Presidential race to make sure no more Mitch McConnell or Donald Trumps are in our government.
