2020 Elections: The Generational Divide
Too Long in Congress:
Moscow Mitch has been in office since 1985, the year I was born-35 years. When stating the youth do not vote-here is a reminder to the older generations with their failure to vote is why we are continuing to fight the same issues, why America is behind on basic common-sense policies beneficial to the people, why there are right-wingers on the bench, and Moscow Mitch exists. Sidebar: All the history America has, yet we fail to learn from and continue to make bad policy decisions. Moscow Mitch along with Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Grassley, Orrin Hatch, Joe Biden, and many other elected officials has overstayed their time in Congress which is a result of not voting! And, a result of why we have Trump. Millennials, Generation Z and future generations will have to repair the damage of elected officials who failed to keep up with the generational changes necessary to keep America first and the greatest nation.
“Sidebar: All the history America has, yet we fail to learn from and continue to make bad policy decisions.”
Three decades of terrible governing with bad policies, failure to keep up with the generational changes, and with a racist, sexist, illegitimate egomaniac President, America is at a breaking point. The generational divide in the 2020 elections will determine the future of America-are we going to stay behind debating old issues or march into the future with common-sense policies reflective of the people, not corporations.
Silent Gen, Boomers, Gen X’ers:
Millennials-the generation everyone loves to hate, blaming the nations capitalistic failures on millions of underpaid citizens, straddled with student loans debt, told to go to school get a good education than good a job which is not happening, and fighting the same battles because of terrible policy decisions from Congress, previous generations inability to reflect on these factors is why America has a generational divide. Sidebar: It’s funny these previous generations have the nerve to be opposed to Bernie Sanders policies our nation needs yet they have nothing to offer. America is the “greatest” nation yet is behind on the basic societal needs to serve the citizens.

Every policy Sen Bernie Sander and Elizabeth Warren have proposed are policies neglected by previous generations who ignore the dire needs of millennials, future generations, and our nation. Additionally, the audacity of previous generations constantly blaming millennials for their bad policy decisions affecting millennials illustrates their inability to accept accountability for the current state of our nation costing us our influence in the world. Silent Generation, Boomers, and Gen X’ers are the generations who have benefitted from the capitalistic greedy policies not everyone in America society does not benefit from. Not only that, these generations are the wrongdoers for opposing any policies meant to benefit the people and our nation which has kept us behind since JFK and MLK. Previous generations supporting Joe Biden who is not progressive, is part of the problem creating, supporting and help implement the current terrible policies illustrates the continuing cycle of not learning from history.
“Previous generations supporting Joe Biden who is not progressive is part of the problem creating, supporting and help implement the current terrible policies illustrates the continuing cycle of not learning from history.”
The generational divide is caused by decades of bad ideas prevalent in our politics for too long and neglecting the ideas of JFK, MLK, Henry Wallace, men who understood the future, a reason these men consistently promoted and championed progressive policies. In 2020, we are amid a generational divide where the circle of bad ideas no longer fit our nation nor future generations. It’s time to end what is no longer working.
