Stay Suffering:
In the land of the “free and the greatest nation” in the world, it is also the place where African Americans, Native Americans, and Latinos are the people who suffer greatly from catastrophes when they take place. America is the place where these groups of people are constantly marginalized through policies that have a generational impact causing more trauma and the continuation of fighting the same old battles. The current global pandemic of COVID-19, people of color are suffering the most with job losses, contracting the virus, lack of assistance from the government, and the loss of their homes. Sidebar: In the land of Native Americans, no one should suffer yet it is always African Americans, Natives Americans, and Latinos-since the formation of America has suffered and continues to suffer.

America is the loudmouth person who talks all the smack yet cannot back it up. If America was a “free and the greatest” nation, then people would not suffer and the continuation of corrupt policies where African Americans, Latinos, and Native Americans would not exist. America fails to back up the claim the nation is “free and the greatest.”
COVID 19:
History has shown us, anytime a catastrophic event takes place, African Americans, Native Americans, and Latinos communities are the ones to suffer greatly. From lack of resources due to racists policies marginalizing these communities, working low-wage jobs, elected officials not reflecting of the communities they represent supporting policies damaging these communities, these people are feeling the effects of COVID-19. The global health pandemic has shed a light on what we all knew which is people of color in America suffer greatly, they are the people who constantly are the ones devastated by major events which COVID-19 has revealed.

Sidebar: The Spanish Flu of 1918, the 2008 financial crisis, and the 40-year failure of low-wages with the increased cost of living has further pushed communities of color behind economically which will take decades to catch-up. Although the global pandemic of COVID-19 revealed the inequalities we knew existed, it also revealed the inefficiency of our government where elected officials have failed the nation and the people. COVID-19 is the shit that hit the fan and now it is time to make the drastic changes our society needs. What is unfortunate about these communities suffering is the ill-preparedness of the government who consistently fails to learn from history.
Not the Greatest, Not Free:
To be the greatest and a free nation, African Americans, Native Americans, and Latinos should not be marginalized through a government-created for and by the people. Sidebar: Since the stealing of America, millions of black people from Africa, forcibly removing Natives off their land, and creating a narrative of that Latinos are illegal, many of the policies created have morphed into more extreme measures which makes it difficult for progress for people of color. Moreover, polices created have impeded African Americans from being denied the right to move up to better their lives since the days of slavery. If America is the “greatest and free,” the government would not continue the corrupt habit of implementing policies. Sidebar: America is the person who creates narratives in their mind and believes it; a reason why we are continuing to fight the same old problems.

A free and great nation would not continue the practice of not allowing people to progress and make their lives better. Furthermore, a free and great nation would not continue to listen to a minority of people who create negative narratives of groups of people which never turns out to be true, who have a selfish ideology which has not benefited the nation nor the citizens. Lastly, a free and great nation government respects the will of all people and implement policies reflecting the voices of the people, not corporations who contribute nothing to make society better. Until America is honest about itself, the nation will be not so great and not so free.
