There is no denying, the rug was pulled from up under Trump supporters. They were warned.

AMERICA: WE SURVIVED 2017 PART 1!

Well, America we survived the first shitty year with Donald Trump-the sexual predator in chief in the oval office. January 20th, we the people and the world were in shock and is still in shock that Donald Trump is President, however, we knew he was not fit to lead which our nation and the world witnessed first hand. Sidebar: when legitimate President Obama was elected, turkey face Senator Mitch McConnell goal was being obstructionists, and the obstructionist’s behavior of the Gross Old Pedophile party continues with every attempt to repeal every law passed by legitimate President Obama. Nevertheless, we fought and heavily resisted every terrible decision and law Donald Trump attempted to carry out. Surviving our first year of Donald Trump in office is a great accomplishment. Here’s to recapping 2017:

1: Doug Jones wins Alabama

A great political recap is Doug Jones winning the Alabama Senate race, a race that will go down in the history books as a bizarre and WTF to the GOP. The Alabama Senate race between Doug Jones and child molester Roy Moore had the entire world on edge because no one was clear on how Alabama would vote; sidebar: knowing that Alabama is a deep red state with illogical conservative values such as supporting a child molester, it was a relief to see Alabama vote for Doug Jones. Specifically, it was black women who overwhelmingly voted for Doug Jones, why he won the election. Sidebar: our nation is in a sad state when the President supports a child molester, and it’s official Donald Trump cannot go any lower than supporting a person who harms teenage girls. No doubt after this bizarre special election in Alabama, a clear no sexual predators law has to be in place to prevent any other Roy Moore’s and Donald Trump’s to run for office.

2. Tax Bill

The same week our nation was ecstatic on Doug Jones winning the Senate seat in Alabama, our nation received an economic blow with the dismal tax law passing, adding $1.5 trillion dollars to the deficit. Recap: remember in 2010 until the GOP stopped lying about how they want to cut the deficit in half, bring jobs back to the American people and stop borrowing money from China? Well, this bill does the complete opposite of what the GOP lied about. First, adding $1.5 trillion dollars to the deficit has put our nation as a debtor nation, my generation-millennials and future generations will be the ones paying for this debt. Second, what is in this bill is beyond horrible and does nothing to help we the people, an example of what’s in the tax bill, on page 283 the bill takes away the Low-Income housing credit. This means many low-income people who need low-income housing because of their socio-economic background will now be without a safety net.

Additionally, the terrible tax bill takes out student loan relief on pages 70-74 which means students such as myself will not have any resources to help pay off student loan debt, and this is another repeal of legitimate President Obama policies. When it comes to businesses, it seems the GOP has not learned from Kansas. The tax bill has the same Pass-Through tax incentive Kansas used allowing businesses to “pass-through” and file as individuals which ended up economically hurting the state. No job growth, no fiscal growth, no revenue took place with the “pass-through” incentive, and now the GOP in Kansas has to raise taxes. The passing of the tax bill is the only accomplishment of the GOP for 2017 and it’s a sad accomplishment.

3. Net Neutrality

Net Neutrality is defined as all ISP’s (Internet Service Providers) must treat all data and internet the same and not change differently by user, content, website platform, application, a method of communication. In short, ISP’s cannot discriminate on the internet by slowing down your speed and subjugating what information you research. Unfortunately, the FCC (Fuckery Communications Commissions) screwed over our nation and we the people by repealing legitimate President Obama policy. When it comes to information, it’s imperative that it’s accurate, without accurate information a nation and the people will believe anything. Sidebar: with social media and the ability to post, share, tweet and create a bogus news site like Breitbart, the accuracy of information is critical for our nation in these current times. Repealing a common sense policy implemented by legitimate President Obama that is beneficial to our nation is another blow to common sense and governing.

4. Charlottesville

Early this year, angry white guys marched with tiki torches chanting “you will not replace us”, and as I always say, white guys, you have no right to be angry when you get away with murder. The sight of watching a group of illogical people marching with no real issue was disturbing and upsetting that our nation continues to deal with racism, a backward mindset which helped Donald Trump get elected. Being a millennial, it’s sad to see my generation and future generations are witnessing and fighting the same racism battle our ancestors fought during slavery and the Civil Rights era. It’s a sad time when the “greatest” country in 2017 has a march by angry white guys who for some idiotic reason believe they are being replaced and they actually believe they are a superior race?! The event in Charlottesville is a clear sign our nation continues to have a long way to go when it comes to race relations, and people with this ideology should not be elected to office having the ability to create and pass laws.
