Arguments The GOP No Longer Have Pt2: Morals and Religion
In September, I wrote an article on arguments the GOP no longer have. The article discussed choices and freedoms, no government interference, how the Democrats love giving away free stuff and the famous arguments of government wasteful spending and being fiscally conservative. Another staple argument the GOP has used for centuries is morals, the GOP for years have displayed themselves as holier than thou, and have condemned the LGBTQ community, Pro-lifers and everyone in between as immoral. For decades having morals is a characteristic the GOP lacked because of indecent decorum such as being busted for having sex with the same-sex in a bathroom and having extramarital affairs, illustrates their lack of morals. Sidebar: the GOP constantly condemned Democratic lawmakers and the party as having no morals………..but we can see from Roy Moore and Dennis Hastert, it was the GOP with no morals. Also, religion is part of the argument the GOP no longer have, why? Roy Moore, Dennis Hastert, and the most god-awful tweet from Franklin Graham supporting Roy Moore, stating he is the victim is why the GOP no longer can use the religion argument.

The most recent events involving Roy Moore, past incidents with Dennis Hastert and other GOP lawmakers illustrate religion and morals are arguments the GOP no longer have. Dennis Hastert was convicted of molesting young boys, yet he led the impeachment on president Bill Clinton because of oral sex with a White House staffer-the hypocrisy. With the current events involving Roy Moore, sexually assaulting teenage girls, he is a person with no religion and no morals. Both men are part of the GOP who constantly used this argument, but were harming innocent young kids. Sidebar: religion teaches the opposite of harming innocent people, this is a point both Roy Moore and Dennis Hastert skipped over. Furthermore, morals are about having principles and value which the GOP does not have because they have constantly created terrible laws that do more harm than good for our nation such as being opposed to same-sex marriage and supporting businesses who refuse to patronage same-sex couples. Also, the GOP knowingly stands by Donald Trump a man with no morals or no religion, reason enough why the GOP no longer has these arguments. Hypocrisy is prevalent among people who illustrate themselves as high mighty in religion and morals but are always the complete opposite.

When using an argument such as morals and religion, you have to illustrate that you have those attributes or your party has those attributes. Religion and morals are arguments hijacked by immoral and nonreligious people who do not fit the definition of either. For too long, the GOP capitalized on using religion and morals as an argument for the devout religious fanatics who ignore their morals and nonreligious ways and continue to vote for them. These arguments of morals and religion have allowed the GOP to mislead, act as false prophets, yet the voters who they are targeting ignore the hypocrisy. Example of the hypocrisy being ignored is Roy Moore, a few days ago Franklin Graham sent out a tweet, stating “the hypocrisy of Washington has no bounds. So many denouncing Roy Moore when they are guilty of doing much worse than what he has been accused of. Shame on those hypocrites.”
Um…….there is nothing worse than sexually assaulting a teenage girl and being a victim of child molestation this is disgusting coming from a “religious man”. Franklin Graham illustrating that morals and religion is an argument the GOP no longer has because any person or group of persons with morals or religion would never make this kind of statement. Religion and morals are characteristics the GOP do not have, they have thrown away religion and morals, have proven to be hypocrites, therefore, has lost the morals and religion argument forever.
