MIDTERMS 2018: THE MOST INTERESTING ELECTIONS IN AMERICA

Midterms 2018:

What will be written in history and in political science text books is how interesting the 2018 midterms elections were. What makes the 2018 midterms elections interesting are people who never participated in politics and are mobilized because of Donald Trump. After Donald Trump won the 2016 elections which continues to be a shock to the entire world, people were angry and have since been engaged and active in focusing on supporting candidates and the policies needed to cripple Donald Trump reach. The 2018 midterms is illustrating the importance of our democracy and why being active in politics is necessary. Sidebar: the 2014 midterms had the lowest voter turnout since 1942, also it was a terrible idea for the Democrats to distance themselves from President Obama and not vouch for the ACA.

Americans will remember the 2018 elections for many reasons, however the most critical reason is Donald Trump and his administration with their bad policies hurting the people and our nation.

The Ripple Effect Part 1-Donald Trump:

Recap: both the 2010 and 2014 midterm elections had low voter turnout, however, the 2014 midterms were lower than the 1942 midterms elections. Additionally, midterms have been steadily declining which is a key reason America have the current Congress and policies. The steady decline in midterm elections is what gave rise to Donald Trump and why it’s part of the reason he won in 2016. Furthermore, the steady decline in midterm elections is why there is political animosity in both parties which will stay until both parties go back to realizing it’s the people not corporations who are important.

“The saying when shit hit the fan is when something drastic takes place and then everyone must jump on board and help fix the shit they made.”

The saying when shit hit the fan is when something drastic takes place and then everyone must jump on board and help fix the shit they made. Donald Trump winning the election  is the shit that hit the fan and now here we are being more active and engaged in politics to fix the mess. Midterms 2018 is interesting because we are witnessing the results of not being active in our politics for decades and how inefficient Congress with the same Senators and Representatives for 30 years have been. Sidebar: the way our technology updates is how America has to be update.

“Sidebar: the way our technology updates is how America has to update.

As I constantly have stated in many other blogs, we are the only nation behind in the necessities and infrastructure which is what our founding fathers would have not wanted.

The Ripple Effect Part 2:

Not participating in politics, the cynicism and the constant negative rhetoric is a turn-off for many people and a reason voter turnout is low in America. Additionally, the same arguments for over 30 years which has caught up to the millennial generation has built up frustration and anger a reason the support for progressives and push to get rid of the establishment or as I say the shitablishment is part of the need to move forward.

The second half of the ripple effect of making the 2018 midterms the most interesting election is witnessing how activated many people have become to save our democracy and our nation.

“Additionally, the same arguments for over 30 years which has caught up to the millennial’s generation has built up frustration and anger a reason the support for progressives and push to get rid of the establishment or as I say the shitablishment.”

Sidebar: It’s amazing and sad the election of Donald Trump who has put our democracy on the line is the motivator for millions of citizens to become engage. For decades, elected officials and throughout President Obama presidency, he constantly stated that our nation have the lowest voter turnout and we need to be more engaged. President Obama not only preached at home, he also stated this when traveling to other nations because their voter turnout is higher than Americas.

“Sidebar: It’s amazing and sad the election of Donald Trump who has put our democracy on the line is the motivator for millions of citizens to become  engage.”

Nevertheless, it’s amazing to see people engaged and active in the political process to save our nation and democracy which is a beacon to the world.
