Georgia’s Illegitimate Governor Brian Kemp Signs Abortion Bill

Gov Kemp
The End of the GOP Ideology:

Georgia 2019 legislative session was unforgettable in the worse way. After a contentious 2018 Governor’s race with Brian Kemp and his voter suppression antics throwing away ballots, having his friends create the Exact Match law to scrutinized voters’ signatures, this year legislative session was the catalyst for the 2020 election cycle. All eyes were and continue to be on Georgia after this year legislative session due to terrible policies from the GOP and the ongoing questioning of the 2018 Governor’s race. Brian Kemp is a hack and will be a lame duck Governor; however, the radical proposed legislation from the right indicates the shift in where the state of Georgia is moving. Sidebar: as a millennial, it’s odd that pale men want to legislate women’s eggs but when these eggs are born these pale men neglect to create common-sense policies.

The battle in Georgia is the GOP side dying ideology trying to stay alive and the fight for moving into the future. HB 481 is the catalyst for this battle because the creators of these bills do not have solutions to real issues affecting Georgians, such as a minimum wage, low-income housing, and a better school system. When it comes to answers and creating common sense policies for the people, the GOP fails which history illustrates and what we are witnessing in these current times. Banning abortions is nothing more than a last-ditch hope for people who support a dying ideology not fit for the future.

Questions and More Questions:

Georgia’s Illegitimate governor Brian Kemp signs HB 481 forcing women to have babies who will affect lower-income families and women of color. Women who have an abortion cannot afford the responsibility of a child, financially, often they do not have the support, in rural and urban areas where many women of color live, there are no resources to help with caring for a child or doctors where women can receive the care needed while pregnant. Sidebar: Ed Seltzer, Brian Kemp and supporters of banning abortion are examples of fetuses who should not have been born. HB 481 is invalid on many levels with more questions such can the fetus be claimed on tax returns? Will the fetus be counted in the 2020 Census? Will they receive a social security number? Will the father begin paying child support starting at six weeks?

When crafting HB 481 the GOP ignored common-sense questions failing to realize how much this law will impact the state of Georgia and the federal government. Furthermore, it’s clear when crafting this law, the sponsors did not consider the financial cost of resources needed to care for the unborn fetuses. In short, HB 481 is irrational just as the sponsors of the bill. Sidebar: it’s funny the GOP hates government overreach yet they create a law overreaching reaching into women’s vaginas.

What’s Next?

Next up is a lengthy legal battle in Georgia’s courts. Not only is HB 481 unrealistic, however, but the bill also lacks references to what the GOP has claimed. Moreover, locking up women who seek an abortion does not have any legal grounds based on law and it will be difficult for any attorneys to take on such cases. In my opinion, HB 481 will be struck down or temporarily blocked because legally, morally it does not make sense. The daunting task the legal system will have to go through, and every level of government will go through to creating forms and budgets to count a fetus will take years if not decades wasting resources needed for real problems.
