“After a July meeting with Trump, Tillerson called the president a “moron” and wanted to resign until Vice President Mike Pence talked him out of it.” Jason Zengerle New York Times. Normally, when a person does not want a job they do not get it. Rex Tillerson did not want the Secretary of State position, however, his wife talked him into taking the job. The turmoil in the Trump administration is enough to make anyone resign and not take any position offered in the white house. 🤔However, Trump decides to fire the guy who was once head of an Exxon Mobile and received a “friendship” medal from Putin. Sidebar: one would think that Rex Tillerson would be the person to stay after the friendship medal from Putin which solidified the relationship Trump has with Putin. Rex Tillerson not wanting to take the Secretary of State position, calling Trump a moron, attempting to resign illustrates how Donald Trump is not capable to lead and we know, no one wants to work in the white house. America’s place in the world, our relationships, influence is tarnished and our national security is at risk. The ongoing firing and resignations of top-level officials, in addition to the improper decorum of Trump as a leader have put America in a difficult position that makes it unclear for how the world is supposed to work with us. Not only that, America is down a dangerous path that will take us a long time to recover from. This path has caused the greatest country to lose the hegemonic status in the world, this path has caused the ugliness of an illogical ideology to be center in 2018, this path has damaged promising opportunities for future generations. Firing Rex Tillerson is not surprising giving the character of Donald Trump, however, the firing of Rex Tillerson causes America relationships further turmoil and replacing Mr. Tillerson with Mike Pompeo, someone who does not have the foreign policy ability to work with Russia, China or North Korea the biggest threat to America puts our nation in greater jeopardy.
