Respectable Presidents to Follow:
JFK, FDR, Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, Theodore Roosevelt are all respectable presidents who demonstrated public service with dignity and integrity. Our nation history of legitimate decent Presidents is a reason to model after. Previous presidents of our nation illustrated diplomacy, empathy, respect and was an overall human being, a reason every nation wanted our president to be their leader. America’s history of decency from our Presidents being modeled after is what made us proud of our leader and established America as a model nation. However, Brazil new president Jair Bolsonaro who assaults women, is allowing destruction of indigenous people and the Amazon is modeling himself after Donald Trump-America’s illegitimate President. Sidebar: to model after a leader who is not respected illustrates Jair Bolsonaro time in office may not last long. Also, who wants to model themselves after Donald Trump?? :-/

Thus far, with his attack on the Amazon and his comments on people of different ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientation, the country of Brazil is headed in the wrong direction. What’s more, the new President stated he would go after Venezuela which makes no sense. Nevertheless, Bolsonaro-the wannabe Trump has put himself in a bad position.
Bolsonaro to damage Brazil:
First, who is Jair Bolsonaro? He was an unknown in politics at the lower ranks, however his Trump-like rhetoric won him the election. The wannabe Trump-Bolsonaro used the same style language and behavior as Trump and assaulted women in the past like Trump. Sidebar: there was coup to remove Dilma Rousseff out of the presidency, will the other parties do the same for Bolsonaro? According to Al Jazeera, “Since Tuesday, he has eradicated the country’s Labor Ministry, ordered monitoring of non-government and international organizations, undermined indigenous rights and excluded the LGBTQ community from explicit protection by the Human Rights Ministry.” Already, the wannabe Trump-Bolsonaro is attacking the rights of innocent people and these attacks may get worse.

What Bolsonaro has proposed and will likely allow, will cause more turmoil and lawlessness in the nation. Moreover, the attacks on LGBTQ citizens will lead to more violence against the group who are often targeted and will not receive protection they deserve from law enforcement. Also, Bolsonaro is inciting will lead to human rights crisis and abuses which Brazil does not need. With a high level of senseless acts of violence due to the economic stagnation, Brazil will be a nation in crisis under a guy who is modeling himself after Donald Trump. Sidebar: there are no proposal for jobs, to strengthen the economy or to work with other nations on trade and international policies. However, it’s interesting that Bolsonaro stated he will “liberate” the people from socialism.

Also, from Al-Jazeera, “Bolsonaro, a former army captain, has pledged to tackle the security crisis by militarizing the police, cracking down on criminal offenders by allowing officers greater freedom to kill, and loosening public gun laws.” Not only is this terrible policy for the nation, it illustrates the lack of common sense on domestic issues and how to shape domestic policy for the better. This kind of policy is bad for Brazil when the history of the nation dealing with military control brings back terrible memories of human rights abuses. If the goal of Bolsonaro is to follow Donald Trump, who is not liked by the allies and the people of America, then Bolsonaro is headed for disaster.
