Not only is Oregon doing automatic voter registration, which every state should do, not their Senate has passed a paid sick leave bills for families. If successful, Oregon will be joining, California, Massachusetts and Connecticut that give their employees paid sick leave. This is a great thing, too often families worry about losing money because they have to take a day off to care for their child, a parent or even themselves, the sad part is that most European countries already have paid sick leave for their employees, which does not results in a lost of productivity or money for businesses. Why is the U.S. behind other countries, when it comes to providing necessary benefits to their citizens?
