THIS ILLEGITIMATE PRESIDENT PART 4: AN INTERNATIONAL EMBARRASSMENT-NATO SUMMIT AND PARIS AGREEMENT

The first three This Illegitimate President articles focused on domestic issues and backward policies the Trump administration is pushing. Recently, illegitimate pricktator President Trump is doing massive damage to the U.S. foreign policy, criticizing our allies abroad during the NATO summit, pulling out of the Paris Agreement and rescinding the U.S. and Cuba relationships established by legitimate President Obama. From domestic issues to international affairs, this illegitimate President has drastically taken America back in policies, which took decades to structure and make possible.

The NATO Summit:

On his first trip abroad, illegitimate President Trump failed miserably representing the U.S., he scolded our allies, side-bar-after the trip the U.S. no longer allies, the words of German Chancellor Angela Merkel “we, Europe can no longer depend on the United States.”  Illegitimate President Trump scolded our allies about their pay into NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization), Trump stated the other 28 members of NATO need to “pay their fair” share and NATO is obsolete. The purpose of NATO was to ease wars taken place in Europe which destroyed many countries. Since enacted, NATO has been a good measure that has assisted Europe in bridging closer connection with the 28 members and working on policies that strengthens Europe.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel “we, Europe can no longer depend on the United States.”

According to two Washington Post articles and their fact checks, illegitimate President Trump is inaccurate when he states our allies should pay their fair share in the defense area. What illegitimate President Trump is misstating, Trump is really talking about indirect funding. Since 2006, each NATO member has had a guideline of spending at least 2 percent of gross domestic product on defense spending.”  The U.S. with the largest GDP (gross domestic product) is paying 3.6 percent into NATO, however during the summit in 2014, members pledged to 2 percent of their GDP of funding for defense in NATO, a guideline to be met by 2024.

The misleading statements from illegitimate President Trump on defense spending in NATO should be no surprise because Trump does not know foreign policy and does not know the meaning of having allies in foreign countries. Additionally, what illegitimate President Trump has done and continues to do is turn the world against the U.S. and with military bases established around the world, specifically in Europe this not good international politics.

The Paris Agreement:

During the NATO summit, our allies were unclear on Mr. Trump stance on the Paris Agreement. Trump gave mixed messages, however when he returned from being an embarrassment, he pulled the U.S. out of the Paris Agreement which took years to create. The U.S. is the number 1 polluter in the world, rescinding on this agreement not only strained our relations with the international community, it illustrates President Trump lack if knowledge on international relations and policies.

When illegitimate President Trump gave his reasoning for pulling out of the Paris Agreement, he stated “the Paris Agreement disadvantages of the United States to help other countries leaving American workers…and taxpayers to absorb the cost about lost jobs, lower wages, shuttered factories, and vastly diminished economic production.”  In addition, illegitimate President Trump stated that he is willing to negotiate a better transaction for the U.S. To be clear, the Paris Agreement does not cost American workers lower wages, lost jobs, shuttered factories, the Paris Agreement has nothing to do with jobs or taxpayers because it is not a trade policy it is an environmental policy.

To be clear, the Paris Agreement does not cost American workers lower wages, lost jobs, shuttered factories, the it has nothing to do with jobs or taxpayers because it is not a trade policy it is an environmental policy.

Furthermore, for illegitimate President Trump to say renegotiate a better transaction, demonstrates he does not fully understand the agreement or what the Paris Agreement is about. However, luckily for the U.S. because of the process to withdraw will take 3 years, the next presidential cycle, we are still in the Paris Agreement even if the illegitimate president does not acknowledge.
