TRUMP IMPEACHED! Not a Sad, Somber Day for America

Impeaching Trump
So, It Begins:

Our nation has many days that will live in infamy and will be written in the history books. From when the first slave ships hit the shores of America, the eras of civil rights, women rights, world wars and historic elections, America days of infamy of both been equally good and bad. However, December 18, 2019 is a day of happiness for America and we the people because Trump was impeached by the Democratically controlled House for obstruction of justice and abuse of power. Throughout the daily news cycle, there was a recurring theme of Trump’s impeachment being a sad and somber day, however based on his actions it was not a sad nor somber day, but a day that shed a light on the strength of our constitution and the experiment of our Democracy is and will remain intact. Sidebar: Trump’s impeachment was coming; too bad the Grand Old Pricks are extremely partisan to do what is right for the nation the people.

“however, based on his actions it was not a sad nor somber day, but a day that shed a light on how strong our constitution and the experiment of our Democracy is and will remain.”

This is the beginning of the end of Trump, his crooked administration and the GOP who blindly supports the President. Enough is enough and with our nation 30 years behind on basic society issues such as providing a livable wage to employees, universal health care and Climate Change, it is three years overdue for Trump’s impeachment.

It Doesn’t Pay to Be Partisan:

Recap: In 2019 Rachel Maddow released the awesome podcast Bag Man discussing the crimes of Vice President Spiro Agnew-sidebar: this should have been taught in civics and Political Science classes. In short, the crimes committed by Vice President Spiro Agnew and President Nixon is history repeating itself with the GOP being partisan choosing party and politics over the nation they claim to love. Throughout the entire impeachment hearings in the House and the floor debates it was clear the partisan passion displayed by the GOP. Their childlike behavior from yelling obnoxiously, attempting to making a point without having a point and constantly naming President Obama because they are obsessed with the former President, it is clear being partisan does not work.

Many of the arguments from the GOP did not help their opposition to the impeachment of Donald Trump nor did the GOP defend Trump or his actions, only the information from the Mueller Report and the recent hearings held a week prior to the formal impeachment of the President. The partisanship displayed by the GOP for the three years of Donald Trump being in office and ignoring his actions is a reason for the polarization in our nation and in our politics.

What’s Next?

Although, Donald Trump was impeached in the House for obstruction of Congress and abuse of power, the next step is the Senate trial where 67 Senators are necessary to impeach Mr. Trump. However, the position of the GOP controlled Senate and Mitch McConnell as Majority Leader who has blocked important policies from being passed, blocked Merrick Garland from getting on the bench, what happens in the Senate will either uphold the values of our founding Fathers and the constitution or damage our nation for decades to come. The Senate is the deliberative body of our Congress and such act accordingly, however we as the people must hold every Senator who ignores the constitution our nation and allows Donald Trump to continue have contact with a known enemy to our nation and continues to be a traitor are complicit in his crimes.

Impeachment day was not a sad somber day for America, it was a day where we the people witnessed our constitution working and a rogue President who should have never been elected being held accountable for being a traitor and placing our nation at risk.
